SEX AND DEATH COME FOR FREE AT THE YOUNG VIC

Four young people risk everything in a tragic game of love, lust and adultery. Limited free tickets for Schnitzler’s Sweet Nothings directed by the world renowned Luc Bondy. Until April 10th.

“I write of love and death. What other subjects are there?” Arthur Schnitzler

Superstar director Luc Bondy returns to the Young Vic following Cruel and Tender in 2005.

‘A knockout production brilliantly directed by Luc Bondy. I don’t expect to see a more powerful play this year.’
Daily Telegraph on Cruel & Tender, 2005

A young man has an affair with a married woman. He is terrified her husband will challenge him to a duel and kill him. At a party, he flirts with a girl who believes she is truly loved.

Life seems full of joy. The doorbell rings. The husband enters the room.

Based on Schnitzler’s play Liebelei, Sweet Nothings captures the power of sexual longing, the cruelty of tradition and the vulnerability of those in love.

There is limited availability of free tickets that can be booked in advance: please contact the Young Vic Box Office on (020) 7922 2922 for details and booking.
